Denis Onyango

Denis Onyango is the Programmes Director at Africa Advocacy Foundation (AAF). He oversees AAF HIV prevention testing and peer support services in the UK. He also leads Mi-Health Europe, an initiative to promote greater access to HIV, viral hepatitis and TB screening, treatment, and care for Europe’s migrant communities.

Denis has over 20 years’ experience of grassroots community health promotion work. He is currently a board member of the European Public Health Alliance and is involved in healthcare policy work at national and international levels. He has served on a number of advisory boards and working groups including e.g. EU Civil Society Forum, WHO Regional Coordinating Committee on HIV, Hepatitis and TB, NHS England CRG on PrEP , UK HIV Commission among others. Denis’ background is in education, policy, public and voluntary sector management.
