Rebecca Mbewe

Rebecca Mbewe is one of the co-authors of ‘Our Stories Told By Us’ and has lived experience of HIV of over 25 years. Rebecca is a Research Assistant with the SHARE collaborative at Queen Mary University London, bringing over 25 years of professional and personal experience of HIV work. Prior to the research role, Rebecca co-led the GROWS (Growing Older Wiser Stronger) program, supporting women over 40 ageing with HIV.

Rebecca is a speaker, trainer, mentor and is a community representative on the British HIV Association (BHIVA) through the UK Community Advisory Board (UKCAB).

She is a co-director of the 4M Mentor Mothers Network CIC, which provides mentoring, support, and training for women living with HIV through the perinatal journey. Rebecca’s passion lies in Sexual Reproductive and Health Rights and wellbeing of underserved women.
