Challenging health inequalities and empowering communities to take control of their health.

Husseina Hamza

Husseina is the Co-founder and CEO of Red Ribbon Living Well. RRLW is a community-led organisation supporting individuals affected by and living with HIV, mental health, and families experiencing domestic violence.

She is an experienced community advocate working with communities affected by a wide range of health inequalities, stigma, and discrimination.

She played a pivotal role in highlighting health issues concerns and was on the frontline to mobilize, sensitize, and empower communities that bear the greatest burden of health disparities. Her motivation and exemplary dedication are to highlight the challenges and barriers that many Black African and Caribbean individuals experience.

Husseina’s effort to champion community activities at the grassroots level particularly helped shape and influence communities’ attitudes towards people living with HIV.
