Positive Health – Season 2 – Episode 1
Positive Health returned for Season 2 with an important and wide-ranging discussion on HIV inequalities affecting Black communities across the globe.
Episode 1 featured powerful conversations with acclaimed HIV advocate and journalist Juan Michael Porter II and Kenyan HIV advocate and digital creator Doreen Moraa Moracha.
The episode explored the impact of growing inequalities in HIV prevention, testing and treatment, the consequences of funding cuts in the USA and globally, the demonisation of migrants, and the role social media and community leadership can play in challenging stigma and driving change.
Returing hosts Susan Cole (Phoenix Health Movement) and Denis Onyango (Africa Advocacy Foundation) reflect on recent work including the Skin Like Mine programme, while Doreen shared insights into youth engagement, HIV prevention innovation and living openly with HIV.
